Featured Artists Richard Greathouse & Tess Davies

Richard Greathouse

Richard Greathouse is an alumnus of the MBA class of 2005. Richard trained at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy from 2008 to 2011, after which he stayed on as an instructor, teaching drawing, painting, and anatomy. He worked with the Florence Academy from 2011 until 2019. During that time he helped open a branch of the school in Jersey City, NJ, and became the Director of the Anatomy Program, first in Jersey City, then back in Florence.

Richard divides his time between painting commissions, working on his own projects, and occasionally teaching. He believes strongly in the significance of art-making as an introspective act, through which the artist is able to grow and improve him or herself not only as an artist, but as a person. It is his aim to apply this idea both to himself and to those who study with him.

We are proud to welcome Richard back to The Hill as a Featured Artist of the 2021 MBA Art Show!
